Can you help the GEM Road Safety Charity?

2009 Campaign

During 2009 the GEM Road Safety Charity has decided to direct a significant proportion of its funds to the problem of drugs and driving.
The menace of illegal drugs within society is well documented but there is limited information on the scale of the drug driving problem. However, evidence suggests that it is a serious problem which is increasing. Some experts have even compared the situation as similar to the drink drive problem faced by the nation three decades ago, when more than 1000 people died on the roads because so many drivers were impaired.

GEM will work with others to highlight the problem of drug driving particularly amongst young drivers and will encourage the Government to take effective action to resolve this problem.
