Guess the car

The Hyundai XG30, pictured in the previous competition, was a miserable attempt by the South Koreans to take on Europe with a luxury car, although its rarity on these shores makes it interesting. It was the personal car of Gerry Francis, who is an ex-England player, later manager, and is the current first team coach of Stoke City. Much like Gerry’s infamous mullet, the Hyundai remained unpopular amongst the masses.

The next car was a step upmarket for its manufacturer and proved to be a highly successful model from the early 1990s but what is it?

With the Mark Three model poised to hit the market, the answer was its grandfather, the first generation Seat Toledo.

Well done to all those who guessed correctly: IanB, Phillipmhoward, Oliver Mason, Dave Edwards; and close but no cigar to Andrew Norton, Ashleyfearon, Diane130111 – why not try again this month:  http://www.motoringassist.com/blog/2012/07/10/guess-the-car-19/3507/
