Prize draw terms and conditions

Terms and Conditions for “Win an Autoglym Kit when you take out any membership or policy with GEM at Bromley Pageant promotion.”

The promotor of the prize draw is The Association of The Guild of Experienced Motorists (trading as Gem Motoring Assist) (the “Company”). This prize draw is governed by these official rules (“Official Rules”). By participating in the prize draw, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and understands that the results of the prize draw, as determined by the Company, are final in all respects.

How to enter?

The prize draw will run from 09:00 hours on 19 July 2026 until 18:00 hours on 19 July 2026 (“Offer Period”).

You will be automatically entered into the prize draw:

• if you have purchased one of the Company’s personal or vehicle breakdown covers (“Eligible Policy”) directly via the GEM Motoring Assist website at the stand during the Bromley Pageant, during the Offer Period.

If you do not wish to be entered into the prize draw please email marketing@motoringassist.com to confirm that you do not wish to be included in the prize draw by the end of the Offer Period.

Who's eligible?

• You are eligible to be automatically entered into the prize draw if the following conditions are met:
• You have purchased an Eligible Policy during the Offer Period.
• You purchased an Eligible Policy at the GEM Motoring Assist stand during the Bromley Pageant.
• Your Eligible Policy must be active (and not terminated, cancelled or withdrawn for any reason) at the time of the prize draw on 2 August 2026.
• You must be aged 18 or over and a UK resident.

The following customers are not eligible to be entered automatically into the prize draw:

• Any customer that purchased online, not at the GEM Motoring Assist stand during the event.

The prize draw is not open to:

• Existing members who renew their policy.
• Employees of the Company (or its holding or subsidiary companies);
• Employees of agents or suppliers of the Company (or its holding or subsidiary companies), who are professionally connected with the prize draw or its administration; or
• Members of their immediate families or households of 2.3 (a) and (b) above (including spouse, parents, grandparents, children, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins and direct descendants).

All decisions of the Company regarding eligibility shall be final.

What is the prize?

The prize is an Autoglym car cleaning kit which will be sent to the winner via post.

Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses which are not specifically listed as part of the prize in these Official Rules and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt and use of all or any portion of the awarded prize are solely the responsibility of the respective prize winner.

The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

Winner selection

All eligible entries received during the Offer Period will be gathered into a database at the end of the Offer Period. The prize draw will take place on 2 August 2026.

We will choose the winner of the prize draw at random from the customers who are eligible for and entered into the prize draw.

Once the winner has been randomly selected, we will send the winner an email within 15 days of the prize draw to inform them that they have won. Each entrant is responsible for monitoring their e-mail account for the prize notification and receipt or other communications related to this prize draw. If a potential prize winner cannot be reached by the Company within fifteen (15) days of the email being sent, using the email address which the Company holds for the entrant or a potential prize winner does not respond to the Company within 15 days upon receiving notification, or if the prize email is returned as undeliverable, that potential prize winner shall forfeit the prize and the Company reserves the right to re-draw a winner. If a potential winner fails to comply with these Official Rules, that potential winner will be disqualified.

Once the prize has been successfully claimed, we will then send the prize kit to the winner by post within 15 days of confirmation.

The decision of the Company is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

The Company must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid prize award took place. To comply with this obligation the Company will send the surname and county of major prize winner, to anyone who emails marketing@motoringassist.com or writes to the address set out below (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the date of the prize draw.

If you object to any or all of your surname and county being published or made available, please contact the Company at marketing@motoringassist.com.

In such circumstances, the Company must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

A winner will forfeit their prize and a new winner will be re drawn if:

A winner is in breach of these Official Rules.

We have reasonable grounds to believe a winner has gained an unfair advantage in participating in the prize draw or won using fraudulent means.

Somebody selected as a winner is subsequently found not to be eligible for that prize draw.

We are aware or reasonably suspect that illegal activity has taken place.

Company’s Limitation of Liability

Insofar as is permitted by law, the Company accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the prize draw or accepting the prize.

The Company, sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the prize draw, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting of these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize.

Any attempt to damage the content or operation of this prize draw is unlawful and subject to possible legal action. We reserve the right to terminate, suspend or amend the prize draw or the Official Rules, without notice and for any reason, including, without limitation, any event beyond our reasonable control or if we determine that the prize draw cannot be conducted as planned or should a virus, bug, tampering or unauthorised intervention, technical failure or other causes beyond our control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the prize draw. In the event any tampering or unauthorised intervention may have occurred, we reserve the right to void suspect entries at issue.

The Company, sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives, and any telephone network or service providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any website or online service or any other error, human or otherwise.

Data Protection and Publicity

The Company will only process your personal information as set out in our privacy policy.

By participating, each entrant grants the Company permission to use their name, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration. See also clauses 4.6 and 4.7 with regard to the announcement of the winners.

By entering this prize draw, if you have ticked the box to receive news and offers from us you will be added to the motoringassist.com database and are indicating your consent to receiving general communications from motoringassist.com. If you wish to be removed from such a list or object to receiving marketing communication from us, please email marketing@motoringassist.com and we will stop processing your data for these purposes.

Governing law and courts

These Official Rules are governed by English law. If any entrants to this prize draw wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
